The Cdn embassy in Tokyo is epic in scope. Such grandness + materials + size in a compact city. Bungalowish bldns for staff. A real moment: Japan’s 80s boom but also a Cdn bigness vs cheapness. An internationalism too. Bring it back. It’s our only way around the USA. Pics from Oct 2023 walking by.

Re: Ontario politics, I hate the phrase “creatures of the province” to describe cities so much.

If you accidentally post AI slop and are told “hey that’s AI” the correct answer is to go “aw shit I didn’t know” and delete it. Not “oh oops oh well, watcha gonna do” and keep it up because it’s giving you engagement. Stop it.

(Although the cynic in me thinks they've seen the tea leaves about copyright and the bubble and basically that people think AI imagery and writing is shite. They could have declared this ages ago)

Both DC and Marvel have expressed that gen AI has no place in their comic books.

That’s significant.

I hope they go further and enshroud that in contracts if they haven’t already. #CreateDontScrape
