My German grandmother, a war refugee, emigrated to Chicago. She learned how to speak English watching WGN.

When I visited we’d watch WGN every night. Never thought I’d see one of its producers brutalized & arrested by masked US govt thugs.

My mom & grandparents fled Germany bc of this same shit.

Boulet: "Bon... Le rendez-vous à la clinique est à 10H, on est dans les temps"
Natalie: "Très bien"

Case 2, Natalie passe devant Boulet qui lui tient la porte
Boulet: "Attends vas-y, je te tiens la porte"
Natalie: "Merci !"

Case 3: Boulet tient encore la porte tandis qu'il parle à Natalie. Une jeune fille tenant un carton en profite pour passer.
Boulet: "On a bien fait de partir en avance, ce sera moins le stress pour..."
La jeune fille: "Ouf ! Merci !"
Boulet: "Ha ! Euh... De rien !"

Case 4: Boulet ne parvient pas à lâcher la porte parce qu'un homme sur son portable passe en disant un vague "'rci".
Natalie: "Bon, tu viens ?"
Boulet: "Oui une minute, j'arrive !"

Boulet tient toujours la porte. Passe un vieil homme en manteau et bonnet.
Boulet: "Monsieur, je vais lâcher ! Pouvez-vous..."
Le vieux: "Merci !"
Natalie (partant): Bon, j'y vais, tu me rejoins."
Boulet: "Ha ! Oui oui ! Pardon !"

Boulet essaie d'arrêter une jeune femme qui s'est à son tour engouffrée dans le passage.
Boulet: "Madame, vous comprenez ce pacte social tacite, n'est-ce pas ? Je tiens la porte, et en échange vous la tenez pour le suiv..."
La femme: "Merci."
Boulet: "Je... Euh... De rien."

Boulet tente d'arrêter des passants, toujours coincé à tenir la porte.
Boulet: "Pardon, vous pourriez..."
Un jeune en survet': "Merci."
Boulet: "Non mais je voudrais..."
Une ado en blouson aviateur: "Merci."
Boulet: "Voilà, je..."
Un homme en costume: "Merci."

Boulet tient toujours la porte. Sa barbe a poussée. Natalie passe, un bébé dans les bras.
Natalie: "Tu ne veux pas le prendre dans tes bras ?"
Boulet: "Je... Je ne peux pas juste lâcher la porte à la gueule de quelqu'un !"
Une jeune femme qui passe à ce moment-là: "Merci !"

Boulet a maintenant une très longue barbe, un peu plus claire qu'autrefois, et de longs cheveux. Natalie est là, contrariée, dans une tenue différente, avec un petit garçon de 7 ou 8 ans.
Boulet (tenant la porte à un homme en chemisette qui passe): "Oooh ! Jean-Chad ! Comme tu as grandi ! Tu vas à l'école ?"
Jean-Chad: "Maman, c'est qui le monsieur ?"

Dernière case: Boulet est maintenant un vieillard, sa barbe blanchissante descend jusqu'à sous son nombril et il n'a presque plus de cheveux. Il tient toujours la porte et un petit jeune au look de Timothée Chalamet passe en disant "Merci."
Derrière Boulet se tient Jean-Chad, devenu adulte.
Jean-Chad: "Papa... Il faut que tu rentres à la maison... S'il te plait !"
Boulet (fulminant): "Un de ces fumiers va bien finir par tenir la porte après moi !"
