Big thread on the Morse Code house.

First off - to set the scene - this now demoed house was well known and well viewed - on one of the most traveled routes in the Indiana Dunes National park. Most locals knew about it, but didn't know much about the *why*, myself included. This got me curious. 1/7

The brightly-decorated facade of a one-story house with three windows, and a door. Geometric shapes are painted across the entire structure, and grass grows high around the entirety. Sunset-cast shadows of trees and plants dapple the extreme left of the building.

I think the suggestion was that this could've been stopped before it happened by voting. I was practically pleading on Reddit in 2016 for indifferent people to vote because, at that point, the next prez would appoint like two SC justices, and it ended up even worse than expected.

I don't think they need to search much, considering he's sending troops to US cities based on fabricated unrest and his entire existence seems to revolve around fomenting division and hate.

In the US, money is the last line of defense, and they're all bowing, over and over, in the face of lawsuits they could win to save a few dollars.

It's crazy to me that after over twenty years I still have impostor syndrome in my career and art, but Trump appointees who are obviously in far over their head can waltz into these situations not knowing AT ALL what the fuck they're doing with total, unwarranted, confidence.

My wife once told me how upset she was as a kid when a priest at her cousin's funeral used it as an excuse to talk about how suicide is a mortal sin and she's now in hell.

Wikipedia and archive.org are, arguably, two of the most important sites on the modern internet. At least in my opinion.

People give crap to Wikipedia because it was people-built, but it gets more right than it gets wrong, and it's an incredible resource, even as just a "jumping off" point.

Yeah, my brain isn't built to handle this.

I want to know what awful things are happening because I need to be educated to fight back, in whatever way I can, but my god is it exhausting pulling up like five stories a day that make me fear for our country, others, or myself.

Yeah. It's dire. The erosion of rights in even the past few weeks has been astounding, and they've got three more years to chip at it.

Nobody with the power to do so is fighting back. Our checks and balances are broken.

I genuinely don't see how we get out of this.

For real. I die a little bit inside every time I see a video where the filmer has to pan left to right to get the whole scene or follow the action.

Growing up in a church, I know this song and dance. It's all about who can outwardly show how good they are at doing the thing they're expected to do the most. It's one-upmanship mixed with scoring political points.
