And Byleth isn't some child who will throw a tantrum about not wanting a leadership role, nor do they want to return to the mercenary life which canonically made them miserable and disassociate on the daily. Friendly reminder that Byleth despises the dehumanizing Ashen Demon nickname btw!

There's validity to disliking SS in the sense that Byleth rules by default and nothing indicates they WANT to rule, but at that point there's no one left to do the job, Rhea is dead/self exiled and most nobles retreat to their territory. Why is it the worst thing in the world for Byleth to lead?

LRPs make SUCH a good point.... It's so funny how CF has you raze the continent and burn everything to the ground in the name of conquest and instead paints it like a quirky rebellion/school project because you're fighting on the side of the aggressors but SS shows the actual price of such a reset

i know a lot of the vitriol towards silver snow stems from how people haven’t actually /played/ it and heard it was called the church route (it’s not the church route lol) but tbh i wonder if a little bit of the vitriol comes from how it depicts basically everyone as awful and

I don't mind having playable hoth characters but they truly didn't think it through when it came to implementing them and it's lowkey a bit strange to see a supposedly large organization/spy network reduced to a group of twenty something people who all fit in a small hotel in the court

Well they're all snezeviches and snezhevnas when it comes to their last names! But their first names are unchanged LOL. It's so weird and messy like there's nothing stopping them from saying all branches had subdirectors but crucabena was the overseer who would periodically visit all of them idk

Legit the best explanation I can think of is that there's other branches and directors we simply don't know about and arle was made a harbinger just because she showed promise and had special blood. Idk man. It's not the only story with gaping plot holes but it sure as hell annoys me the most

The orphans all get renamed too, with snezhnayan names, why the obsession with keeping it to fontaine? Is it because the hotel bouffes d'ete offers the best accomodations? Does it happen to have the best climate? The more you think about it the more it feels so thrown together at the last minute

Why is arle the current director, why was the previous director she killed only ever in the fontaine branch, why keep her there? Where are all the other directors? Why did she get a SNEZHNAYA vision? It's so messy and dumb lol it's one of those things they did not think through at all
