like sorry to be "wah wah social media has ruined my mental state and my art journey" but it, in fact, has ruined it. sometimes i don't draw for a week plus because of the "why is my art Wrong" thing, and i don't think i need to explain the drain on my mental health

i once saw a post on a different site where someone was saying some "if you don't have 1k followers within a year of having your account there's something wrong with you. getting followers is easy." bullshit and it really hit me in the worst way

i really don't like spending hours thinking about how my art doesn't appeal to the masses because it's somehow aesthetically or just generally ""bad"". i know it's not, and i'm wrong, but the thought's still there

and don't even get me started on follower numbers 😭

i hate that social media has gotten me to a point where i sometimes scroll posts and find myself thinking "what's wrong with my art" when i see an art post with 3 more likes than i usually get.

and it's even worse when i get like no likes on a piece i'm proud of and am like "oh this one was bad"
