Dear me. Poignancy and urgency levels here. Worse still, the political inertia being led by a Govt from a Party with a boast-worthy history of anti-racism and anti-fascism.

Britain now has 1970s levels racism without 1970s levels of secure well-paid jobs, social housing, properly-funded NHS and social care, free tuition, student grants, final salary pensions and affordable rail fares

Govt representatives and journalists citing flawed comparisons between PIRA/loyalist paramilitaries decommissioning their weapons under the Good Friday Agreement and (only) Hamas decommissioning theirs. Lazy, lazy comms and lazy, lazy journalism.

This is one example of how anti-racism and anti-fascism has to be delivered at community level because the current Govt is ill-equipped to do so. In many cases, itself endorsing or sympathetic to xenophobic and racist rhetoric. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

Political memories don’t go back as far austerity. Very reason Brexit, Covid & Ukraine war had the impact they did is because the Tories stripped away every last piece of social and civic resilience UK had. Then Lab failed miserably to deal with the ensuing poverties as the emergencies they are.

Known best for his views and yet no view this time. Good work. Watch your footing back down, Kevin. ✊

Labour aren’t picking enough fights because appeasing vast corporate vested interests and bringing about a fair, inclusive society are at odds with one another. It’s obvious over the past 14 months they’ve done the former at the expense of the latter. Reform & Greens reap the benefits of that.

Zack Polanski used the ‘F’ word twice on BBCQT last night… and the audience applauded him for it 👇

"You actually are a fascist from a far right party… this is racism, this is facism and we should call it out"

Our gutter-rags gazing at Trump as a peacemaker. The bloke who self-admittedly violated women, sends gangs of armed thugs out to disappear black and brown people without trial and ramped up a genocide to the point of mass starvation for the last 10 months. Ofc they are.
