But it's the same QR code on every recipe, so you scan it and it just takes you to a giant list of all of their recipes... with no search option, or filters.

There's acres of room to have an extra column for details of a single portion too.

I gave Gousto a try this week. Nice recipes, especially for someone like me that doesn't really do cooking very often, but by Christ the UX for getting a recipe for 1 person/portion is awful.

The recipe cards give deets for 2-4 people, with a QR code to scan if you want details for 1 person.

True, I don't agree with Apple's approach generally either. The 'security' thing for W11 doesn't really wash with me -- it's clearly capable of running without TPM, just disable the parts that require it.

Hell, I'd even be OK with it periodically nagging the user to upgrade in these circumstances.

A local farmer here made the news by painting his herd of cows to have England flags on their sides.

Local rag did a video interview with him about it, asked him about his cows. First thing he said was “they’re a Scottish breed…”

By hacking out the TPM check, maybe. It definitely doesn’t support it natively, and I guess the crux of the argument is that expecting anyone, corporates or consumers, to piss about with unofficial (and unsupported!) workarounds in order to keep using their device is awful.
