Fun fact. Camel is a mistranslation from Greek, where the word was originally "rope" (kámilos) rather than "camel" (kamelos).

I should add that ultra-orthodox Jews are no different from every other religion’s crazies and have no problem ignoring how their actions of performative religion don’t match up with how they often excuse away harm/abuse of others. Jesus rebelled against it 2 millennia ago and it’s still true.

This is the foundational issue. Jews *can’t* ask god for forgiveness until they’ve made a valiant attempt to atone to *whomever they’ve wronged*. The church decided they’d rather make money selling forgiveness. If you can buy your way into heaven, you corrupt everything.

I am an atheist it's perverse that I am told I am immoral because morals come from God. Sorry, I don't need the threat of eternal hellfire to get me to do the right thing. That's not morality, it's coercion. "Do to others as you would have them do to you" should not require a Bible to figure out.

Ah! Good morning, reality. And welcome. We’ve been expecting you…
I am quite sure. It's really difficult to remove a government. You need a majority in parliament and the governing Prime Minister (chancelor) needs to lose a so called vote of no confidence.
No. But he can speak against xenophobia and praise the work immigrants do for instance. Then it's quite clear whom you shouldn't vote for. Or He can try to make people aware of the necessity to learn more and work harder (might not be that popular, but we had that too).
In Germany the president is seen as above politics as in a more moral institution. He can speak about political causes, I think more freely than your monarch is allowed to.
The parties who form the government(s), in our case federal and all 16 of them in the Länder, elect the president, so he isn't part of the government but still part of the political business. In 2027 presumably the conservatives will put someone forward and the Social Democrats will vote accordingly
He/she will still belong to a political side. I agree with not having real power but even our president is the last one responsible for laws. He can refuse to sign them. It's very rare but it happens.
Unfortunately that depends on the governing parties. The current one was reelected because no one wanted the upheavel of a new president in early 2022 after the federal election in 2021.
Not "we" as in the people like in Ireland but the other elected politicians. And yes, we have a 2-terms-president. The current one is a Social Democrat, the next one will come from the center right.
We have a president who is elected by both houses and so called representatives of the public. The parties can invite artists, authors, scientists etc. to take part in the election. Sometimes they get it right, sometimes you get someone like our current president who isn't up to the task.

Women are women, lesbian, straight, slim, trans, intelligent, etc. a big beautiful basket of human beings. Some unfortunately are Trump barbies. I would prefer to disown them than any trans woman.

2/ That's it. No discussion, no fears, no warning, just a fact about a neighbour.
Thank you, from my heart and brain. I just wanted to send an angry answer but yours is so much better and made me laugh which did good things for my blood pressure.
When I came to live in this house 1978, the concierge told me, gesturing out of the window: there lives Ms. S. She was a man before. /
Trans women are women. If you can't stomach a trans woman peeing in the stall next to you, use single spaces. Sorry, but men are all around us. Most are violent against other men or against women near them.
