Here to support Ukrainians. Their struggle against imperialism is the fight of humanity against darkness and evil.
He still has some protection in the Army.
Or a submissive Ukraine like Belarus. That will be the perfect situation for putin.

Former EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell:

Russia will only be able to destroy Ukraine if Ukraine is unable to defend itself. If the US does not provide the means to do so, are we going to do it? Question mark. This is the existential question that Europe must answer for itself:

See Putin as "a dictator who’s bet everything on a failed invasion, a country losing its sphere of influence, and an economy that’s rapidly cooling. A realistic view of his power would strip Putin of his biggest leverage: the perception of his invincibility.” Smart piece by Andrew Ryvkin.
Putin Is Not Winning
Underestimating the Russian leader is dangerous, but ascribing dark powers to him plays right into his hands.

There is a straight line between Ukrainians exiled from the Soviet Union, their Republican support and the MAGA cult of their children. Even against their interests. E.g. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victori...
Not exclusively of Ukrainians Americans but many other communities.

Washington State has a very significant Ukrainian and Ukrainian-American community for over 50 years... Mostly conservative. Though they supported quite some refugees in the first year of the invasion.
I'd be very careful getting conclusions from the name(s), she could be from Ukrainian origin, born in US.
That's a moral decision which clearly most joining the russian army lack. But this interview is important because it shows to potential recruits that the promises are empty, you'll be tortured, extorted and in the end die. This hinders the replacement of troops and lowers morale of the population
Separate the comment from the article itself. The implications on the comment are not in the article. The Netherlands share less intelligence with the US but the reasons are not stated.

President Zelenskyy:

Putin is afraid of his society because he wants to be president until he dies. And that's why, of course, he needs society to support him.
That's why he counts on continuation of this war. And that is the big question, the big challenge for all of us.
This is what we have seen in dozens of authoritarians take overs during the last 50 years. Republicans will wake up one day and see that the American democracy is lost. And it will be their funking fault.
Will they stop they GPS jamming for their dear leader
You do not follow much IsisTV do you?
Fun fact. Camel is a mistranslation from Greek, where the word was originally "rope" (kámilos) rather than "camel" (kamelos).
"I want to be Catholic because it's cool not because of poor people"
How about jamming the GPS signal?
West of Prague there's simply a different experience of communism. Even UK France Italy Spain have a very different experience and history of communism. In theory and practice.
This is probably the hardest job for Zelensky right now, to sit with a moron that can destroy or save a whole country, and smile, flatter him and try to play at his game.
He is erratic. Has no knowledge of geopolitics beyond America first. He might listen to one and then the other and change his mind every minute. He makes arguments like a 5 year old. Good. Bad. Candy. Pooped my pants.
Sure, China or India are going to buy as much gas as Germany, and pay the same rates, and not consider at all any geostrategic dependency issue. Demented.
trump probably will brag on how much he made the Europeans buy him weapons, and selling Europe American oil, and how much money the USA made out of the invasion.
I think it was mainly Zelensky campaign (adulation, back channels, association to a war hero rather than an old putin, economic reports of russia as 'loser', ...)
