Good turn out for the Cranksgiving ride, even as Autumn arrived with 0°C temps. The ride was in memory of Dr. Darren Markland and he rode in all weather. He’d have approved the riding with friends and helping the less fortunate at the same time

It was hard news to hear. We had a huge gathering at Coffee Outside two weeks ago. Tomorrow we’re doing Cranksgiving in his honour, a social group ride where we’re also dropping off donations. The temperature should be just above freezing, as he would have enjoyed.

老婆 saw there’s a bad collision on 107Ave & the Groat bridge. Motorcycle in a million pieces. A protected bike lane is supposed to be installed there next summer. It should be a crime if the City leaves the slip lanes in place and doesn’t make all of 107 4 lanes, instead of 6-8 for that stretch.

Polls from today either put Knack and Cartmell in a dead heat, or Cartmell slightly ahead.

The UCP has changed donor rules, created unpopular parties, all to stack the deck for Tim, their preferred candidate.

Biked to a school board forum tonight; one way was 12 km instead of 7 km, because riding the Henday or Ellerslie means zero bike infrastructure. Safety, not distance, is what stops people from choosing active transportation.
