Three members of the Petersburg street band Stoptime have been sentenced to 12 and 13 days in prison for their “unauthorised” concerts. Singer Diana Loginova (aka Naoko), drummer Vladislav Leontyev and guitarist Aleksandr Orlov often play songs by artists who have been declared “foreign agents”.

The fourth place medal goes to Acrasis kona — a beautiful slime mould. Its recently sequenced genome reveals that it is the eukaryote with the simplest multicellularitry toolkit.
