Follow up on this. I'll admit when I was wrong: This video is apparently not AI generated, and there's no proof that it was at this time. The video definitely feels off, but that's just going off of my own vibes rather than hard facts.

So Trump posed an AI generated video of himself addressing Charlie Kirk's death. The man couldn't be bothered to record a proper video and instead likely had a staffer generate this. This is also very dystopian and only further proves my notion of the Post-Truth Era.

Didn't these same people celebrate when a random trans girl committed suicide? That made all sorts of horrible memes about the situation. Now they want empathy for a guy who actively wanted to deprive people of their rights at best or have them killed at worst? Best I can do is indifference.

When I realized it was real I was like "well he'll likely be alright. These guys always have assassins with the worst aim gunning for them."

A few minutes later I saw the close up video, and I was like "Oh wow. No way he survives that."

And after like an hour later he was confirmed dead.

There are also people with conspiracy theories claiming that the White House is using AI to cover up Trump's poor health or his death, but I don't think that's true, especially without evidence. This just seems like a case of textbook laziness to me.
