Newfoundland and Labrador’s election shows the problem again. A party can win a majority of seats without majority support.

Proportional representation would make every vote count equally and ensure real majority rule.

Let’s be clear about what Alberta is proposing:

BC loses billions of dollars of major projects from private investors.

AND Canadian taxpayers are forced to pay billions more because there is no interest from a private company.

That’s not fair. And fairness is a Canadian value.

The UN Climate Summit in Brazil is coming up and Canada needs to step it up. Carney has barely said a word about climate since elected and we’re not going to make our 2030 climate targets. We can’t cede any more climate policy to Alberta- don’t negotiate with petro states. We need real action.
