"Economics is actually beautiful because it's the study of human cooperation... It's that cooperation that grows the pie bigger that is the most exciting part of economics, and it's also the part that's completely absent from the Trump agenda."

Last month we went to Costco for Super Bowl snacks. Bought a giant bag of tortilla chips. It literally goes up to my knee (that's more a comment on the size of the bag and not on my height).

Now I feel guilty when I have any other snack other than chips. I just keep saying, one more on repeat.

The ball was also frozen? Let's just blame that entire game on the weather, oh and being terrible this year.

The amount of time I spend thinking about creating an anonymous BlueSky account so that I can release my sarcasm to the world is unreasonable.

Thank you to all those who have already created these outlets, they are satiating to my soul.

Knowing what works, for whom, and under what conditions is one of the most powerful tools I can imagine in public policy. Adding cost effectiveness analysis can improve efficiency while understanding context supports generalizability.

A candid take on the sobering NAEP results.

New results from "The Nation's Report Card" just dropped and they are pretty bad. I got a sneak peek as a member of IES’s Standing Committee, so I had an extra day or so to ruminate about them. A few thoughts 👇
