Due to Tennessee’s abortion ban, Mayron Hollis was forced to continue a pregnancy that threatened her life. An emergency delivery left her without a uterus and her baby with medical issues.

This was their first year in a post-Roe state (pub. Feb. 2024):

There was a joke telling club. They cataloged & numbered thousands of jokes. All that was required to tell a joke was to say its number. A new member tried this & said “number 291” but no laughter. An old member said “291” & all laughed. The new member was told “some can tell a joke & some can’t.”

Reporters: stop using the deferential term "detaining" when talking about ICE goons' abduction of innocent people from US streets. You proper term would indeed by "abduction", but if you want to pretend neutrality you could use "capture", which at least says nothing about the captors' motives.
