I take the pics because it's fun to make wee slideshows but this happens at every fucking gig and I'm so tired of disabled people being expected to police accessible areas. I've been physically attacked for asking a bloke to move out of the path of a wheelchair user.

More ironic because my other half actually does gig photography and we know the rules around this shit. Venues have every right to ban you for this but they don't communicate with each other so it's up to whatever security staff are on that day.

The venue staff in this case were great, especially since they know me and my wobbly gait at all the metal shows but at what point do you just say "hey these people do this regularly and get really shitty to disabled people, can you just not give them a press pass in the first place? Ta."

Went to see TRON today in IMAX and I'd say just about every Millennial without children in tow (so most of the audience) were in rock/electronic band shirts. Several NIN logos.

Train stations with barriers at least usually have an accessible gate which opens longer, though the assumption that my free hand is the right one causes no end of problems.

If you're wondering, Asda is the worst. Not just for a lack of staff at the huge array of self-service tills that flip their little red light on at the slightest rustle of a shopping bag and leave you stranded but the aisles being an obstacle course of and box trollies rolling blindly round corners.

Meanwhile M&S remains by far the most accessible shop but sadly the most expensive. Only place I've ever been offered a hand shuffling things around though. The disability tax is real.
