Starmer on TV claiming that the Manchester synagogue attack was "not a new hate". We'll see who was responsible, but the chances are it was connected with the ongoing genocide in Gaza rather than any medieval blood libel. A new enough hate that Starmer played his part in creating.

One of my mother's elderly friends was raving about the old-fashioned working-class meal of corned-beef hash, so I decided to give it a go. Turned out greasy, salty (despite my not having added any salt) and with a bit of a dog-food kick. Is it supposed to be like that?

Likud with other coalition partners might not storm the Sumud flotilla. However, Netanyahu can't afford to upset the Messianic fascists who prop him up, as he otherwise goes to jail (for corruption, as he knows that Trump will protect him from going to jail for genocide). Who knows what will happen?

Read something on the TV news ticker saying that Keir Starmer would "absolutely" lead Labour into the next election. Misread it as "absolutistly".

I've heard Tommy Robinson is funded by Israel, which is why he has such strong connections with the Israeli holiday destination (and wartime bolt-hole) of Cyprus. Much of the West's conflict with Muslims is ultimately connected with Israel, and many people promoting Islamophobia are its supporters.

Sorry, missed that. I'd definitely say that they were Loyalists, though. One of the flags suggests that they may even be British-Israelites, who believe that democracy needn't apply to British people, as they are descendants of a lost Tribe of Israel.

I think it may be Northern Ireland. Israeli flags are sometimes hung from lampposts in Loyalist areas here, and if you see a Saltire, it's generally a Loyalist symbol. All very different from Scotland.

Interesting guy, this Morgan McSweeney. Family connections to Fine Gael, lived on an Israeli kibbutz, started out in Labour working for Peter Mandelson, ran Liz Kendall's leadership campaign, reported to Trevor Chinn in Labour Together, and got Richard Leonard to resign. As right-wing as they come.

My wife and I are both autistic. Neither of our mothers took *anything* during their pregnancies. Thalidomide was still a very big issue in those days. Trump's ravings are the American notion of my ignorance being equal to your expertise transformed for the Internet conspiracy age.
