Growing up w/ undiagnosed learning disorders and/or neurodivergent conditions is absolutely a complex traumatic stressor-- not because there is anything traumatic about having them, but because of the way the culture almost always misunderstands & mistreats nonconforming people.

Many Type 2s are in deep denial about that; remission isn't permanent, and NO ONE can keep it perfect forever. Eventually whatever pancreatic function they had managed to keep WILL fail and insulin is the new normal.

I've been Type 2 for 10 years already, genes plus the stress of University and the immigration process triggered that early and I did get to a remission point for a bit BUT it was always on a timer!

It only took 10 years but it now looks like my pancreas finally died and I'm supposed to start insulin therapy next Tuesday. There's a slim chance it's temporary but I'm not holding my breath.

The wetter, almost puree'd salsas slap so much harder than pico OR chunky style!
