Well they have just texted me... to cancel tomorrow's appointment... so it looks like I'll have to wait a bit longer to find out what they want to say... at least I've moved on from scared to resigned about it now...

What a start to the day... I've just been to the dentists... and had x-rays... and I have to go back tomorrow... for a consultation about a root filling... for some reason I've always been a bit scared about being told this... fingers crossed it won't be too bad...

So we had to learn to part with books... we both think we're ruthless now... but we've double filled the bookshelves... & have a table piled high with books... we love sharing books with friends... & are happy to lend most of them out without expecting them back... but wish they fitted in better...

I used to like to own every book I had ever read... so did Mr Intgarden... this was OK in our 20s and 30s... when we hadn't had a house for long... and still had bookshelves to fill... and space in the house for another one... we limited ourselves to 2 6ft bookcases in this house (28 years ago)...

I think that I was probably a bit later... but I do have a vague memory of writing RT and copying & pasting... and other categories of RT... with more letters... that I never quite mastered using... I joined in 2011...

Also quite a lot of people I know here are in other countries... so random things like when I sent someone 10 raspberry plants... or when someone sent me a pruning saw that they no longer needed... would be less likely to happen...

I really miss my twitter friends who didn't come here... I've made friends with lots of lovely new bluesky people... but some of my twitter friends were part of my life for over 10 years... so I miss them...

Lettuce is much better cooked... utterly underwhelming and pointless raw... the taste goes better with the texture too... I discovered cooking lettuce when we used to get one most weeks in our veg box... cooked is seen as weird now... but used to be common centuries ago...

I like a slow film... and an arty film... but this one took it too far... even for me... the most exciting bit was watching some sheep... walk along a path... on a hillside in Wales... in the rain... I got it from Love Film (CDs by post)... I think I was hoping for something

No help needed... the smell takes me back to the primary school canteen... and banana custard was even worse... I'm not keen on hot liquids... pudding... or gloopy textures... and not a drop has ever passed my lips... and probably never will... I almost put rice pudding... but custard won...
