The statue of Richard Hooker, 1553-1600 at Cathedral Green, Exeter by Alfred Drury RA dates from 1907. It was made in white Pentilicon from Greece. University of Manchester name ichthyosaur found at Golden Cap, Dorset in 2001 which is believed to have lived 184 to 193 million years ago. 👇

His uncle John Hooker was Chamberlain of Exeter & write about its early history. The statue was Grade 2 listed in 1953. /3

Thomas Keith died #OTD in 1895. Keith was famous for the procedure of ovariotomy.
