Earlier this week, Turkey’s Constitutional Court reviewed the “super permit” law, passed in July, which opens olive groves, forests, pastures and water sources to mining and energy companies.

For years, this was part of a path through the land, but it's now an impenetrable tangle of gorse and young trees.

As the trees grow, the gorse and other vegetation will be shaded out, and I'll be able to pass again, but through *rainforest*.

Scrub is how natural forest ecosystems form.

The lads in the park are finally waking up.
