September 2025 was the third hottest on record on land and at sea.

Big polluters spent decades and billions lying to protect profits while communities burned and drowned.

We will not forget. Time to #MakePollutersPay.

A handshake does not equal peace - but gestures matter.
Yesterday, Brussels could have shown that Europe is still a force for mediation, empathy and courage.

It didn’t. That’s why this felt like a missed chance for peace - and for Europe itself.

Earlier this week, Turkey’s Constitutional Court reviewed the “super permit” law, passed in July, which opens olive groves, forests, pastures and water sources to mining and energy companies.

A massive threat to nature and people’s future.

Two photos from Turkey showing the contrast between nature and industrial destruction.
The first image shows a lush green mountain slope dotted with yellow flowers, with text reading: “Turkey’s top court just reviewed one of the most dangerous laws in its history.”
The second image shows a coal power plant with large cooling towers emitting smoke, with text reading: “A ‘super permit’ law that hands people’s land, water and forests to corporate exploitation.”

'Stunned?' Farage's Admission He Knew Nathan Gill but Not His Kremlin Associates Does Not Stand Up to Scrutiny

For years, this was part of a path through the land, but it's now an impenetrable tangle of gorse and young trees.

As the trees grow, the gorse and other vegetation will be shaded out, and I'll be able to pass again, but through *rainforest*.

Scrub is how natural forest ecosystems form.

Ran out of dishwashing liquid so I used one of these, did you know what it is without googling or reading the replies?
Of course it worked perfectly fine, even though what I put in it was about 50 years old.

Today (date), the Slender-billed Curlew was declared extinct. The first bird extinction on mainland Europe in 500 years — on our watch. Extinction is final. No going back. Think about that.

Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.

Today’s #AutumnArrivalSpotlight is the Jack Snipe…master of the stealth and wobble! 👀

These charming little waders sneak into wet meadows and bogs from northern Europe, bobbing up and down as they feed along the water’s edge.

How's that for a Friday smile?

Yes it's so heartening. 😀

Quite agree. And it makes such a difference, sometimes between success and failure.
