We keep giving AI the fun jobs (coding, writing, making art) while we are stuck with the shit jobs (laundry, code reviews, resolving merge conflicts) what a disaster
So many times I see unsorted lists that are a pain to navigate or best case just puzzling. Thank you, @hilton.org.uk, for this writeup!

ChatGPT advocates, please understand: many times when people ask you a question, it is because they are valuing your experience and perspective. Essentially, you are part of their community. When you answer with a ChatGPT screenshot, you are telling them that they are not a part of yours.
I don't think so. I think a leader can easily be someone that takes that direction, but has the passion and skill to directly gather and inspire others to go in the same direction. Dissatisfaction with others' direction isn't a requirement.
😄 Nei, det gjør selvfølgelig ikke det. Erna har ikke noe godt fotfeste for å slå ned på økonomisk vinning, så derfor ønsker hun sikkert ikke å trekke noe oppmerksomhet den veien
To feil blir en rett...?
Ref Forvaltningsloven § 4, fjerde ledd.
Found a @kevlin.bsky.social at Düsseldorf Airport!
Sure, and it's a decent response, but I'd argue that BlueSky makes sense. Especially within the tech sphere, which is a non-trivial part of Sessionize.
In our latest CfP, several speakers mentioned the lack of BlueSky and commented on that Facebook and X was a bit ...outdated.
Hey, @sessionize.com, any chance we can get BlueSky on this list?
Well, apparently they _are_ dumb since generating search results via decoding seems like a really poor way to find a reliable result.
It depends on how OpenAI does the search. If they use the LLM features to generate an answer, that is not a search and it will hallucinate. But if it's using embeddings to find matches in its source, it will not hallucinate. Since OpenAI folks aren't dumb, they're probably doing the latter.
Yeah, I had an Amiga 500, after my C64, and I expanded that from 512kB to 1MB and later 3MB total. And it was A LOT!
Yeah, I'd say that a document with detailed instructions rooted in old and outdated knowledge isn't much of a step down from the EA.
I don't think anyone here is arguing that we should remove architecture. For me it's more a discussion of the right level of detail, that architecture is better if you understand what's inside your boxes and a view that you should be somewhat involved in the consequences of your choices.
Shit can get written down continuously, no? ADRs and stuff. Writing down decisions that you have made early, without proper knowledge, sounds bad.
Isn't this just the "Architects that no longer build shouldn't unilaterally dictate how the team should build" discussion?
Excited to see it!
One of my favourite things on social media is when a man (yes, it's always a man) severely underestimates someone (usually a woman) and gets schooled accordingly.

The comments are *chefs kiss*

This is right up there withthe dude calling out Gail Simone, the Punisher writer.
“Courtney Milan clerked for the 9th Circuit and the Supreme Court before publishing her first historical romance novel, and even worked for a time as a law professor before becoming a full-time writer.”
Respectfully, are you a lawyer? You’re over-reading the elements of the statutes, plus making jury/not guilty arguments. Only probable cause, not guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, is required to charge. The FBI affidavit has that regarding the statutory elements.
