Not a kids movie, unless you're a "all comics are for kids" type, and not a political position of power, but the Dark Knight he destroys his cell phone surveillance system after using it once.

Lots of examples of technology being destroyed in media to prevent their abuse.

Which is a great illustration of how good actors in possession of malformed system's power, they rarely act to mitigate the potential systemic abuse, only through evil's self destruction does it change.
