I can't explain why, but I hate fried cheese. It's like it brings out a flavor my brain just says nah to. There must be some incident in childhood I've forgotten that turned me off.

Our tomatoes and peppers always come in suuuuper late, so Kyo made some fresh salsa with a bunch of our mid-October haul.

Also, last week it dawned on me that you can make grilled bean and cheese burritos at home and my life has been forever changed.

Two grilled burritos topped with sour cream and homemade salsa on a blow plate. Next to the plate is a bowl of roma tomatoes, not quite ripe cause the wind knocked them off the vine, and some jalapeños.

I love walking in the park down the street from my house but you'll never catch me in there on a windy day 'cause the trees just give up.

It's a relatable impulse. The pushback you get for stirring the pot in evangelicalism is so strong, it causes intense anxiety to take a stand. I definitely tried to be like, a reasonable, peacemaking middle type for a long time. I just think by her age and w/ her money, she should be over it.

Having been a big fan of her in high school in her Christian era, spot on. Deconstructing is hard and her whole career has just been a battle with her awful evie upbringing. Sucks she's chosen to be a conservative after it all, but that's a woman who needs a really good therapist.

I'm convinced this is how I got covid in Belgium. Eeeverybody on the trains just openly hacking, including a little girl who stood up, looked over the back of her chair, and coughed in my face. I turned to Kyo and was like, "I don't think my mask is gonna be enough." Next minute, womp.
