If I had a nickel for each band I've seen live that played almost entirely new stuff and then ended with a 9 min long fan favorite encore i would have like 15 or 25 cents. Which isn't a lot but it sure means I have a type. @twiabp.bsky.social killed it in Carrboro tonight.

I scoured my local book stores for new reads. Tried to get around to as many as possible. It's my birthday so you aren't allowed to ask about my existing to-be-read like.

1L Water, 75g coffee, 10 drops of finings.
This is a coffee I know very well so I'll dial in to taste as I go.

TL;DW instead of filtering coldbrew traditionally, which leads to wasting coffee that's not fully extracted, we let the grinds settle. I added vegan beer finings to help separate the insolubles. In the morning I'll pour the coffee out leaving the grinds at the bottom.

I'm a bit of a coffee nerd so when I saw the above video I knew my 5 year ritual was about to get a shake up.
Excited to try this in the morning after it settles. It will make having to wake up at 7, of other reasons, more palatable.

Saturday my partner showed up. I tidy'd up the mess of packs and cards and merch. And we got to the floor a little later. We toured the booths, met some people for some tasty food. They were excited to meet LRR people so that was our main plan. We also got to see "Um Actually" live

Ryan's art has always spoken to me. He does such an amazing job showing people of all shapes anges and sizes. He captures such a range and treats them with respect and I find it amazing. It was an odd request and I was ready for him to decline but he did this which was more than I had hoped for.
