After spending 43 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, evidence hidden by the prosecution reversed his conviction. Rather than finally enjoying freedom, ICE abducted him for deportation

Depraved.

This will be up there w one of the more frustrating losses Michigan’s had in a while. One that lays bare how rough their defense is. Soooo many big plays this group has given up this season already. Something they really just haven’t done for yrs

Hate that for Bryce. Drop/pass breakup at the 1 yard line. Then throws a deep pick two plays later, on a bad read

Underwood is a gamer. Can tell his ankle is hurting, but these odd-angle throws have been unreal this drive

This game is a total nightmare. Injuries to your two most important offensive players. Punting poorly. Defense giving up big plays. Down two TDs already on the road

Case in point. Two big plays, and USC is in the end zone within a minute or two. Not good enough to win on the road against a decent team

Makai Lemon is unreal, btw. That was a catch, and I can’t believe they didn’t look at it to make sure

I’ve been really spoiled w Michigan’s special teams in recent years. But teams get the ball at midfield against them way too often this season

Michigan’s punter really grinds my gears. So many of his punts bounce backwards, and go 30 yards

Vegas’s success is a result in part of visionary investment.

A $1M salary for a coach when that was unheard of. A $40M training facility when no other W team had one. All before Caitlin Clark joined the league.

The result: three titles in four years.

Sweet dreams, Aces fans! 🏆🏆🏆

Hoping Michigan holds the state down tomorrow against USC. It’s only right after the Tigers lose in that fashion.

Man... Tagging up to second base is HUGE there.

repost this if an editor has ever saved you from yourself

An actual hot take: Too many authors are afraid of editors watering down their voice or whatever and not afraid enough of editors letting you put any old slop on the page.

Gonna be thinking about this lede for a minute.
(RNS) — Last month, the Rev. David Black stood in front of a Chicago-area U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility and spread his arms wide. Adorned in all black and wearing a clerical collar, the pastor looked up at a group of masked, heavily armed ICE agents on the roof and began to pray.

“I invited them to repentance,” Black, a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), said in an interview. “I basically offered an altar call. I invited them to come and receive that salvation, and be part of the kingdom that is coming.”

But when Black began to lower his arms a few seconds later, the agents responded to his spiritual plea by firing pepper balls, or chemical agents that cause eye irritation and respiratory distress, video footage shows. One struck Black in the head, exploding into a puff of white pepper smoke and forcing him to his knees. Fellow demonstrators rushed to his aid, and as the pastor rubbed his face in pain, the agents continued to fire.

“We could hear them laughing,” Black said.
