Harold James Preller. @padresjagoff. The hot new Padres themed Blue Sky that's sweeping #PadresBlueSky. Not the actual Padres uh blueskying dick jokes!

Very true, I should have mentioned that. The Padres are still upping their revenue every season though, especially factoring in group/suite sales and concerts which don’t qualify for rev sharing. Cutting and not increasing payroll is a completely unacceptable result.

for any prospective Padres managers reading this out there, the correct response to “Where do you see yourself in two years?” is “estranged from my family, friends, players, assistant coaches, and you personally, Mr Preller”
Surely two hours of content must cost something, right? Right?!?!

Recorded this mini-pod with @dsmithshow.bsky.social this morning and then recorded an extra long mimosa pod with @hjpreller.bsky.social and @coreyastewart.bsky.social (out soon) and now setting up to record another Section 1904 pod.

Turns out a manager retiring is good for podcasting.

Non-zero chance Shildt was staring at the bottom of the glass in a Chili’s when the line about Johnson City in “Wagon Wheel” pierced his soul like the clarion call to home
What really matters is if the national media talks about us and if we are “relevant”
I still go back to has our amateur and intl scouting actually been better than our peers in the post-Conner era?

Going with a poker analogy, the Padres are a very aggressive player who have overplayed their hand. They’re now pot committed with a decent hand, but they’re unlikely to improve moving forward and they don’t really know if they’re ahead or behind. It’s one of the worst places to be in poker.
As usual, the Padres have their eye on the prize by making BIG moves like firing yet another hitting coach
He could double his zero division titles also

Obviously, I wish they’d have been patient and let prospects arrive in hindsight, but I respected, and still respect AJ’s ambition and willingness to go for it. It could have worked out if X, Y, and Z, but it didn’t.

I’m not super resentful—just think you need fresh eyes and analyses at this point.
I like it, it’s a laser focus on the result which is something we could use right about now

Looking forward to @hjpreller.bsky.social rebranding as Mike Jizzo
I still go back to I expected cashing LDV would net us something more than a (great) relief pitcher. The strategy of cashing in the farm wasn’t necessarily wrong, the execution was. The Fermin trade was just bad.
Still better than next year will be!
32 out of 33 scoreless innings now 😢😢😢

Heard he screamed at Andy “it’s like you’ve never read the level 2 reader book ‘Tyrannosaurus Rex vs. Sperm Whale: Who Would Win?’ you idiot, you absolute moron” as Andy sheepishly picked up the broccoli from the clubhouse floor and inside of Nick Martini’s locker
Heard this was was what led to manager and meal engineer Andy Green to be fired
Neither, 1% real juice is too “yucky”, he is a Sunny D man
