Looking at the Federal Register this morning, DHS is moving up the effective date on a June rule that expanded its authority to charge people for certain criminal conduct around federal buildings. It was originally set to go into effect on January 1. It will now go into effect TOMORROW.

Bondi's trying to give Halligan a Mulligan.
In USA v Comey, "for the avoidance of doubt," AG Pam Bondi purports to retroactively appoint Halligan under a different statute and to "ratify" her grand jury presentation & signature on the indictment—a month after the statute of limitation ran out.

It's one of several cases in Chicago where DHS claims the driver rammed them but evidence shows otherwise. Here's another one: bsky.app/profile/laur...
Immigration agents crashed into a U.S. citizen on her way to work—then dragged her out of her car and arrested her.

Her family couldn’t find her for hours.
She was later released without charges.

The nuke testing part of the CBS interview with Trump is quite a read. He’s starting from intel reports that China/Rus have done very low yield test experiments, claims all others are testing, and doesn’t seem to know what US is doing. www.cbsnews.com/news/read-fu...

We cannot have Collin’s dicking around anymore. I worry Mills will be the same. We need to think differently….

4) I reject Janet Mills as a viable option

5) Platner is a damned sight better than Collins

6) his popularity seems to be holding regardless of the oppo thrown his way

My views on Graham Platner:

1) my cautious side says he has the makings of a Sinema, Manchin or Fetterman because of his past leanings.

2) my optimist side says he has the makings of a Buttigieg or Obama, also because of his past leanings.

3) what I think doesn’t matter, Mainers seem to love him

The entire Jim Comey indictment is a shitshow and by all rights will be dismissed w/the Lindsey Halligan shenanigans.

But I love that the far right is going to have to make arguments abt SGE employees that will be ... awkward for Elon and others.
