You can absolutely GROK a throughline here: misogyny.

They want to ban anything that "feminizes" boys while legalizing anything that abuses women.

This is from the largest single donor of a party that was recently trying to ban the Teletubbies.
Some Grok users, mostly men, began to demand to see bruising on the bodies of the women, and for blood to be added to the images. Requests to show women tied up and gagged were instantly granted.

"He's stealing from the American people."

is the kind of inciting incident of a deep story that would be powerful if you could get more than one Democratic Senator to repeat it
WELKER: Has the president crossed the line of impeachment?

CHRIS MURPHY: I have common sense. I know this president has committed 10 times more impeachable offenses in his second term as he did in his first. He's stealing from the American people.

"i am sorry for what i have done in the past and don't yet know how to fix it, but don't want to make it worse" is legitimately about the level best you can hope for someone like this to say, and it should be strongly encouraged anywhere we see it

This is what I meant when I wrote that "we can overthrow them with a union of care."
"At schools, volunteers are forming human chains as students and employees enter and leave, with whistles to blow if ICE shows up.

Volunteers—many of them moms already involved at their schools—divvy up tasks, such as delivering groceries to immigrant families..."

If the US continues to make threats, European countries could refuse to refuel American ships in European ports, require higher payments for the stationing of US troops — or even close US military bases entirely.
US intentions towards Greenland threaten NATO’s future. But European countries are not helpless
US threats to annex Greenland following the attack on Venezuela should be taken seriously. European countries have important leverage they should be prepared to use.

it really clicked when I learned that some of those high-profile 1990s militias were specifically and almost exclusively opposed to the fed govt that added the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 20th amendments to the constitution
The anti government militias were never anti government, they just hate Black people.

Heads up, Twin Cities—

CBP agent Timothy Donahue was photographed outside the Whipple building yesterday. In Chicago, he was documented aggressively detaining bystanders; also involved in at least one car crash.

Most importantly, he also brandished his gun at a crowd in Evanston on 10/31.

These numbers are not surprising to me having covered it, but it is stark seeing it laid out like this and I’m glad the Times put this together.

Just this week, someone told me they wished I would stop including the appointing president in stories, and I was like, “Not a chance.” This is why.
Trump's appellate judges have formed a nearly united phalanx to defend his agenda from legal challenges. How often they ruled for him in 2025:

Trump appointees: 92%
Other Republican appointees: 68%
Democratic appointees: 27%

They often partner w/others: last night, a church, brewery & bookstore hosted an event.

It's debatable whether 2022-2024 was the best total job market of our lifetime, but there's no question it was the best market for lower-income workers in generations.

That's what corporate America hired Trump to fix.
NEW from me:

Job growth has been functionally zero over the last five months, as the US sinks from a “low hire, low fire” labor market to a “no hire” one.

That slowdown is hitting young & low income workers the hardest 🧵
