not the point but I'd like to know when federal law enforcement started carrying 9mm carbines with sliding stocks...I think this is a CZ Scorpion but it's hard to tell with the video quality

I also suspect that Miller doesn't realize the political blowback he will receive if the public perceives an Insurrection Act declaration to be baseless. Martial law is antithetical to the principles upon which this country was founded

It's certainly not a good thing when a POTUS 's theory of the case is that they can invoke the Insurrection Act for stealing a pen from a Post Office, or because they assume the existence of a brown person in Chicago means that immigration laws aren't being enforced. We don't do rule by decree here

I just want to remind folks that while the Insurrection Act sounds very scary, the point of it is to allow mil to enforce *existing laws.* It doesn't mean summary executions, or (more illegal) internment camps, or that Stephen Miller gets to be Viceroy of Chicago, despite what he may think.

🤷‍♂️ how many people on bsky have actually gone hog hunting? I'm guessing I'm in a small % that have. They're definitely mean and smart as shit, which is why you have to trap them first, not just go cyclic in your front yard while your kids are there
