Ridiculous and not at all useful?
What about billions in tax cuts for the wealthy?

That New York Times story lots of people are sharing today about Farage's ties to US anti-abortion groups was first reported by @mc00.bsky.social on Byline Times a year ago bylinetimes.com/2024/11/29/n...

NEW: There’s a disaster unfolding in Alaska right now. And no major network is covering it.

The remnants of Typhoon Halong battered western Alaska overnight. Homes, with people in them, have literally been swept into the Bering Strait.

At least 20 are missing. No comment from any federal agency.

Or we could more widely accept that Brexit has failed.
It was always likely to, and it has.
Then we could do something about it.
hooli.bsky.social
And not only farmers.
Brexit was a bad idea that was “done” awfully. It was bad for almost everyone.
Brexit has failed.
Time to stop dancing around the elephant in the room.

This deserves more attention than it has received.

Gove: "we were too anxious as a government to secure those deals in order to show that Brexit was working".

Exactly as so many of us warned at the time, and as the government denied at the time.

Michael Gove admits that post-Brexit trade deals were bad for farmers
Michael Gove has admitted for the first time that the Australia and New Zealand trade deals negotiated by the former Tory government did not protect Britain’s farmers.

Please don't share this as it might upset Nigel Farage.

We could all be wealthy if we didn’t pay any of our bills.
This is not valuable insight.
Clucking bell. 🤦‍♂️

It’s just that it is apparent the journalists will not hold him to account for his misrepresentations.
Could unions or other groups keep taking him to court?

Asking as a non-legal person.
Are there grounds for a case of libel here?
I’m not 100% clear on everything that he said, nor if it would constitute libel.
But if there was, could a group of teachers bring a case forward?
A group supported by a union, like a national union … of teachers?

This is not mass shootings by year and country.
It is cumulatively mass shootings from shortly after WWII to year X.

Agreed.
“Keep versus Lose”.
Always frame it as the other side will make you lose.
Keep versus Lose. Keep please!

The old, “it’s not illegal even if you know it’s immoral” line of defence.
Remind me where that’s been used before.

Are they actually saying that Nigel?
Oh, no. No they aren’t.
Nigel is not bothered by lying and bullshitting all day long.
But I’m sure he would look after the interests of the electorate. I mean, why wouldn’t he?
Apart from the liar bit.

Fantasy economics from someone to the right of Farage. Who could have predicted that?

I presume Lowe is giving us a clue on where he stands in moral terms. Lowe by name, low by nature.
Last election I was delighted to see the right wing vote be split between conservative and reform. Next election it will be great to see reform’s vote split.

Very much agree that the question asked changes the response from the LLM - and the sequence of previous questions.
I would like to ask the client for their questions to the LLM.
hooli.bsky.social
Why? Who knows?
Is it simply the client being drawn towards an argument that supports their preferred position - even if false?
AI is showing a propensity to find ways in the LLM to agree with the questioner.
Begs the question “what did you ask the AI”?
