RFK fired the CDC official (w/decades of experience) leading the measles outbreak response. It's been decades since we've had such a large outbreak. And just to ensure they they can spread the measles outbreak even farther, they also fired the leadership for the center focused on immunization.

Agree about Sextant. And I'd argue Thrust is Herbie at his most unrelentingly funky. Two things I remember about the Thrust concert: 1) Palm Grease was the encore, capped of with an extended synth generated swirling wash of noise that circled the concert hall over & over, 2) ears ringing afterward😄

Head Hunters got me into Herbie when I was in like 9th Grade. But Thrust & Sextant became--and remain--my faves of Herbie's '70s Lps. Thrust carries special nostalgic weight b/c the Thrust Tour was the first concert I ever attended. Saw it in a medium-sized concert hall in early 1975 (blew me away😄)
