Goodnight my lovely! 💤
It’s part of a nationwide chain of such cafés, that started in Bristol. We have one in Chippenham – the Rivo Lounge. They all have a different name, but very similar furniture and artwork. I’ve been going to them for 20 years since I moved back to the UK.
Has @newjustine.bsky.social seen this? She’s arriving in Louth from NL today!
The Alfedo Lounge in Louth: a relaxing venue with great food

The Alfredo Lounge has turned an empty high street building into a laid-back venue for all, breathing life back into a dying high street

There are 16 circles in this image.
I came to say the same thing.

Admittedly, the alt text helped me! Then again, I am a bit sleep deprived today
<mission accomplished>

Superb! That’s made my night Mike!
You’re very kind!

I considered “Last of the Summer Weimaraner” but just wasn’t Nazi enough!

I thought the BBC was supposed to be impartial. Maybe everyone should stop paying their licence.

All you folks laughing about Cheney’s death without giving a single compassionate thought for the poor fella at the cemetery who has to dig the Dick hole.
Stanley and I have walked to our local to meet friends for the usual Tuesday beers, only to find they’ve gone home ill.

We’ll survive as they have Deya’s Stesdy Rollong Strata on tap.

I’ve also msged back-up drinking buddies.
See also ‘NNN’. I’m seeing that abbreviation for the first time this year.

I hope the BBC will challenge Nigel Farage today over the economic damage caused by the Brexit he championed.

He needs to be held to account for the damage he's done instead of always being given an easy ride.
Nipped over to Melksham to get dinner stuff, and took the boy with me. After I was done at the ‘trose, messaged my niece who lives near by to ask for a decent off-leash walk option. She came up trumps.

We walked four miles, Stanley was delighted. #Wiltshire
A friend of mine is a (highly technical, educated, non-wide-boy) salesman. He always says he envies me because I could set up my own company doing what I do freelance. In his line of work, he never could.

I like the idea of being freelance/self-employed but am always nervous about consistent income
OK, they’ve gone. I can start clearing up.
I’m ready for my dinner guests to go home now, but here we are, still at the dining table, chatting.

I like chatting but I’m reaching saturation point.

I’m so happy for you both. Well done matey! Long may it continue!

❤️
Tonight, having dinner at home with friends. A wealth of great food and a broad spectrum of drinks!
Last night I went out for beers with a blokey mate of mine. Two pubs involved and a ton of putting the world to rights.

Ended up having a long conversation with a Gen-Z lass who was more well-informed about life than a lot of her generation.

Tonight… cont’d…
We’ve got that now. So much for the sun we had earlier.

If we’re that close geographically, we could look at doing whatever the BlueSky version of a tweet-up is, at some point. Purely for (beer) research purposes of course.
Ugh…sorry to hear that matey. Invoice = I’m guessing you’re self-employed. I’ve done that briefly, but soon got tempted back to the perceived safety of being an employee. As the years have gone by I’ve often wondered if made the right choice!
