In the sense that they had originally announced a GL movie only for it to get canned after a lengthy amount of time with little to know updates. Then the HBO series was announced but even that was announced so long ago and had the premise changed or reworked several times.

yeah def not. the early part 2 art was sooo good but i understand why it wasn’t sustainable for a weekly/biweekly title. what really gets me is that the paneling and page layouts are not nearly as interesting as they were in part 1.

and like in theory i don’t necessarily hate denji being stuck in a state of arrested development re: toxic/abusive hot ladies but part 1 was such a tight knit story that it just adds to part 2’s floundering

but once fjmt made denji the mc again it just felt uncharacteristically safe and predictable but the appeal of csm to me was that it didn’t feel like ur average story.

making asa the mc was such a genius move to me cause with yoru’s goal it automatically shifted denji from the protagonist role to an antagonistic one. deji’s character arc felt completed to me by the end of part 1 so this also felt like a good way of giving us more denji without ruining that arc

also i feel like part 2 sucked at replicating part 1’s general plot beats in a way that felt new and refreshing

when part 2 started i felt like it was shaping up to be even better than part 1 but once the aquarium arc ended is when i felt apparent that there wasn’t a clear vision and the pacing just isn’t good. like chs started feeling like they were hyping up the next ch and we were just stuck in that state

Lol the first part is so real. Even though I wouldn’t say I was in the wrong for what happened, my brief experience did make me realize I’m not fit for any kind of real relationship. Like communication and opening yourself up really is key and I unfortunately struggle with that.

Yeah, being in the dark about where each person stands is what makes it feel awful. And funnily enough, even though I wouldn’t say I was in the wrong in my 5 second situationship, it did make me realize that conventional relationships are not for me lol.
