I'm reading a book for grownups that my mum got me for Christmas, but I might not be grown up enough for it

It's a photo of an open book and the excerpt says "The whip cracked again. Hooves sloshed in the..." and there it cuts off because the phone was too close to the book to see any more of that line when I took the photo, but it gives you the sense of the scene doesn't it, we're in an old fashioned carriage on a rainy night, and something spooky is about to happen. So we get to the next line, which is the pertinent line that I took the picture to illustrate. Which says:

"Knuckles rapped on the roof."

doubly funny that they use the new va's lines for the little talking flower thing they're putting out. genuinely what was even the point when the original va's line delivery was basically the character's entire appeal? now you just have a guy impersonating it while doing very soft quips

i think it's a little funny that those talking flowers got recast in their own game that already had a bunch of recasts. i still think they're annoying but i was kind of endeared to the original va after a while
