I'm always struck by how flexible items in Shiren games are beyond their stated purpose. For instance, there's a staff that turns monsters into your doppelganger to distract other ones. I used it to deliberately level up a Mamel to its highest tier and then one shot it for 8 level ups. Felt great. 😎

Honestly my favorite thing about film discourse these days is how many women are at the forefront and how much that has shifted which movies get discussed.

My whole time growing up, every movie conversation and enthusiast space was absolutely dominated by the most irritating dudes you can imagine.

I heard basically nothing about Italian horror directors until Tumblr, even within horror friend circles.

I remember Day of the Dead being widely considered the worst in the series by far, but people have REALLY come around on it.

Soul Blazer rules, Terranigma moreso, Arcana is a personal favorite, Heracles 3 and 4 are great, Lufia 2 is a must play, Mystic Ark is very cool and unique, Bahamut Lagoon is a masterpiece, Live a Live too, Rudras rocks, Dragon Quest V is the best JRPG of all time, but the DS version is better.
