Noticed how cool the dying Rudbeckia flowers look - I think I prefer them to immaculate pristine ones. FFS what is wrong with me, why can’t I just like nice things 😄

Today I am mainly raking and low mowing areas of meadow to plant the young ragged robin and cuckoo flower plants I’ve propagated. Also going through editor comments on my new book, checking back through research to clarify points. I had to stop to look at the light and shadow today 💞

Keep going Zack - what you are doing is challenging and showing them up. The more they whinge like this, and they will, the more you are making the right impact.

I think that’s a good idea. I have it across my newsletter and website in place of Twitter and it kinda works. But it could do with a bigger shot in the arm somehow. Eg lots of government like Starmer still don’t use it for some reason. Nor does BBC.

Overall users for BlueSky are still slowly declining, which puts into question the future of this platform - without a wider public on here, our voices are less effective. Hopefully BlueSky can find a way to grow its platform to something more mainstream. It is really good. bsky.jazco.dev/stats

I’ve run hundreds of events and conferences. I say “hi everyone!” Etc. I’ve never been to a conference in my life where the people running it have addressed everyone as “conference” as a single entity.

It is weird - no one else does this in the real world

Did you know that around 80% of the seafood consumed in the UK is imported? 🐟🦞From the cod in your fish and chips to the prawns in your sandwich, much of what reaches our plates comes from Norway, Iceland, Vietnam, and more.

Dear all politicians: the way you address your conference audiences as “conference” is really f-ing weird to everyone in the real world. Please stop.

We need better journalism than this - the journalist intervenes to spread the false narrative that billionaires will all leave the ultra wealthy UK if we tax them more. Get a backbone. We are not subjects or slaves to billionaires. If some leave, good riddance! The void is an opportunity for others.

Former Head of Comms for the IEA, Annabel Denham, says the super rich will leave if we have a wealth tax.

Yes, the very same IEA that brought us Liz Truss’ disastrous mini budget. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Just extraordinary to witness this nature-hating government sabotaging Labour’s own legacy. And for absolutely no reason: nature protection isn’t blocking development - it’s a necessary prerequisite for it (& for everything else, come to that…)
