So as it’s almost that time of the year and I’m clearing my phone of pics here’s last year’s Parasaurolophus Palaeo Pumpkin. Based this off some gorgeous @serpenillus.bsky.social art he drew for me as part of his Patreon. Not sure if I’ll be doing one this year but these are always fun to carve 🖤

Was a massive influence on some of the first Dinosaurs I painted in 2023, the almost military like camouflage patterns were very inspiring. Such an awesome artist!

Sparrow Witch Harpy

Careful when looking through the hedgerow she might follow you home.

(Good excuse to practice ink technique)

#witch
A very energetic black and white ink drawing of a sparrow witch harpy. She’s looking directly at you. Her body is of a sparrow and her face is of a beautiful woman. I’ve used various ink techniques such as dip pen and my brushes.

A literary Iguanodon at the Earth Sciences Library. Do any other libraries have dinosaurs or other antediluvian creatures carved into the furniture?

Making some progress on this beautiful replica Microraptor skeleton, should be finished by next week so I can get it assembled and finally see it all together. This replica and many others available from the wonderful and extremely talented dinosaurskeletons.co.uk

After a 3-month hiatus, thread number 3! Band of Brothers is the third episode of WWD2025, and focuses on the coming-of-age story of George the teenage Gastonia as he is pursued by Utahraptor, framed around the Lorrie’s site quarry in the Cedar Mountain Formation. (1/40)

Saw something very unexpected in the forest today….

I’ve had a pretty rough month and a hugely positive thing about this hobby besides the community surrounding it is the escapism, sometimes you just need a tactile puzzle to tinker with and distract you. Occupy your mind with some engaging. It’s a big help ☺️

Titan Class Groove can then also double up as a homage or retool into Power Cycle so I’m totally down with this idea….

And that's how you integrate digital elements into an exhibition. Part of the temporary "China's Dinosaur World" at the Shanghai Natural History Museum, China. Closing this November.

Today’s fossil friday is a WIP of a commission piece for noted palaeontologist, podcaster, author, mate, international jet setting Pterosaur/Tyrannosaur/Spinosaur expert and all round legend @davehone.bsky.social

Happy Fossil Friday!!
Ochre, white, red, black and brown patterned Dinosaur toy. The body is chunky, the scales tabular, the noggin is huge. The beak is sharp, the tail and head share the sane colours for signalling and it’s been a joy to paint so far Ochre, white, red, black and brown patterned Dinosaur toy. Suchomimus family from this years @dinoconuk.bsky.social charity auction. Inspired by the classic DK Suchomimus model and the art of the iconic Luis Rey. Was very happy with what this piece raised for charity and quite emotional as it did so 🥹😅🖤🏴‍☠️
Brightly coloured Suchomimus parents. The mother has her young feeding whine nestled protectively in her tail as she relaxes. Her mate catches a much smaller fish and pulls it from the water causing ripples to spread. The ground is red, and the foliage vibrant and green next to the teal, orange and yellow Dinosaurs Brightly coloured Suchomimus parents. Rather unexpectedly, a paper of mine has just dropped. Say hello to Makrodactylus, a new early monofenestratan from southern Germany. This was published with Rene and Bruce Lauer (www.lauerfoundationpse.org) and Freddie Spindler.
