I think the mechanic I picked to facilitate it is coming out juuuust right. 😎 I did mention that the major gimmick of this chapter is interface screw. Zestial got to play with hijacking the fic's narrative voice last chapter - but there are a LOT of ways to get that info across...

The toxic RadioStatic is getting intense af over here. We all know he's going to get his desperate narcissistic meltdown by late-s2/early-s3, but my god is it fun to get to take a crack at how it would go down first. Can't wait to see which if any canon beats I called beforehand.

Tfw you open up a nice Snapple, and the 'Fun Fact' on the inside of the lid is that lobsters apparently have teeth in their stomachs. Left wondering how on earth they knew what kind of body horror shit I want to hear about.

I also love the Adam hallucinations because beyond her infatuation with him, he was her impulse control and also her biggest enabler, she did not make a decision or express an opinion without his validation, so now, in his absence, his "ghost" is effectively a green light for her to do her worst.

My guess on his choice: self-preservation first, then a last minute heel-face turn at the climax to the self-sacrificing decision, suffering horrible consequences but underscoring the show's premise that anyone can choose to do the right thing, no matter how deep a hole they've dug themselves.

My hopes for Alastor this season: getting utterly humbled and being forced to figure out how to rely on others opens him up to becoming the Vegeta - in order to make it really HURT when his Dealmaker imposes a decision between selfishness and sacrifice in season 3, and we find out which he chooses.

Like I’m sure they see the signs of his superior attitude
