Yeah, it might not hit your ideal price per sample, but in terms of providing the data you are looking for. It’s the cheapest option you likely have. Hopefully sequencing will continue its trend of coming down in price. Good luck! Let us know what you find out 🤞🏻
5-7X HiFi coverage per haplotype is probably your best bet for phasing and identifying SVs in high het maize. You should check with the team at Veil Genomics. They are a company designed for this exact type of work.
Meet Jonathan 🐢 the world's longest living terrestrial animal at 192 years old.

Researchers published a pre-print analyzing the DNA sequence and methylome looking for age-related changes in DNA methylation and methylation entropy. Read more about the study here: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

Hi-C users, the wait is finally over! 🙌🏽 CiFi now enables Hi-C with #HiFisequencing. Short-read Hi-C struggles when it comes to repetitive and low-complexity regions. #PacBio HiFi rises to the challenge with better accuracy and lower input requirements. Congrats Megan and UC Davis team!
Check out our new preprint describing CiFi - a method that couples 3C and PacBio HiFi sequencing with low input requirements. We apply it to human GM12878 to better characterize chromatin across repetitive regions, as well as single insect samples (a mosquito and a Mediterranean fruit fly).
