There was a post in our neighborhood FB group complaining about drivers of huge SUVs with tinted windows getting clocked as ICE—“some of us just think they [big SUVs] are practical”. I didn’t reply but am still snickering about this

Have you ever wondered why pumpkins are never purple or blue like other plants? 🎃🌈

While most plants can produce pink, blue, and purple pigments (thanks to anthocyanins), the Cucurbitaceae family 🍈 🍉 🥒have lost all the pathway genes to produce these pigments.

*Rarely a day has gone by since this surge began that they haven't grabbed people in this area. That footage you saw of Chicagoans being tear gassed on Saturday was in an adjacent neighborhood.
