I did a similar thing with the Book History club at Texas Tech recently! I love the student involvement with experiential learning.

My 11th grade class is preparing to read "The Crucible" & I've had student group do background work on Arthur Miller, The Red Scare, the Witch Trials, Cancel Culture vs Backlisting & after each presentation I ask, "Does this feel relevant to our world now?" So far not a singler teenager sees it.

I got “selected” at work to be among the early adopters of an AI app for student writing & I stopped myself from saying “The house is unliveable because people have been tossing cookie dough at the walls all year. Your solution is to THROW MORE COOKIE DOUGH?! HOW IS THIS MEANT TO FIX ANYTHING? HUH?”

Both would be nice.

I work full time, but the job is MUCH harder for me than for my colleagues because I carry this pain around all the time.

Everyone has their albatross, but I know people for whom a broken nail is a big crisis.

And the pain escalates. It's excruciating and affecting my vision in my left eye & often left ear symptoms!

I have joint pain all over my body too: shoulders, knees, ankles, neck, wrists, finger & toe joints.

I'm not allowed to take ANYTHING, so I'm just miserable and frequently unable to walk.

I have constant left-side-of-head pain, and doctors have ignored me about it for SO LONG that I normally just go about my day with this horrible pain. I once took Tylenol or Advil to take the edge off, but it never made the pain go away. Now I'm not allowed to take NSAIDs or Tylenol, so I just HURT.

I've been to urgent care and the Er twice in a week, and I have 2 biopsies forthcoming.

I feel like garbage, and although I have a stack of papers to grade that could construct a lifesize papier mache Empire State Building, I am going to take a nap instead.
