i made a dwarf noble in dragon age origins and the very first dialogue line is your best friend npc sexually harasses you and you can choose between acting like that's a normal joke between you, inviting him to make out because the harassment worked, or saying you'd rather be friends.

a detail i often forget is that "the mabari were bred by a wizard". i always think they were bred by regular guys, or created by a wizard with magic. but no, they were all bred by one wizard who was really good at dog breeding, a hobby which maybe wizards are known for?

i'm thinking about nostalgia and home repair projects a lot. i'm working on myself. interrogating nostalgia feels important because the whole world has been telling me to be nostalgic since before i was old enough to have something to be nostalgic for.

i am approaching this like i would a home repair problem, or learning a new cooking technique. i am being diligent and dutiful. solving this problem is learning a skill.

if it's not dragon age that i'm nostalgic for, what was so special about 2010? no one is nostalgic for 2010.
