In a meeting right now, finding out about the government shutdown fallout AND also finding out my insurance is covering less and costing more. What fun.
Right now, they are asking us to spend our PTO, which isn't too bad, but it is a bad sign. It represents a concern about money in the future.

There are some uses for which AI is a boon, but most of what gets pushed to consumers are things it is either bad at, or theft based, or both. I am fine with it being used for better accessibility tools and certain research things. Content generation? Definitely not.

I am so tired of AI BS and slop. It is almost always garbage, and even people I know who are vehemently against the use of generative AI will reshare things made by it without realizing it. What I really want is for the platforms to start honestly labeling AI so I can just filter it out.

It's hard to keep up with the TTRPG market. I'm not one who often gets freebie review material. About once or twice a year, I'll receive something, but the rest is up to me to buy if I want to discuss it. When the various D&D adjacent games came out, I couldn't keep up with reviews or thoughts.

I do have a sizable following on Tiktok, as well as having decent presence in other social spaces. My only hope is that my reputation in TTRPG circles is being a decent guy, who is thoughtful when talking about games, and tries to make sure everyone feels welcome in TTRPG's. That's all I want.

Occasionally, I come across the idiots complaining about some major nerd property going "woke." My response is usually that they were always woke. That is part of why I liked them. Star Trek, Star Wars, & Comics were usually leaning progressive, even if not perfectly. It made them more interesting.

I hate that getting my car fixed for what is essentially a minor issue is out of reach. The ignition is fouled up. It also needs a permanent fix to the underskirt, which is currently attached with zip ties. Based on a conversation with mechanics, it will cost 300 to 500 to fix it, minimum.
