I don’t know where Klein was on that, but I know Sullivan is awful. Klein did debate Sam Harris on the bell curve and eviscerated Harris and the racist ideas. That was like 2018.

Coates has always been authentic, honest and insightful.

if i've learned one thing from doing union stuff while also doing other forms of organizing, it's that you're better off with people you disagree with who are nevertheless trying to do the same thing as you than with people you agree with who aren't trying to do anything

I have not listened to it nor read the transcript, but have read a lot of each of their works. While they may have been in similar places thinking wise 10-15 years ago a LOT has happened since then. Coates has absorbed what I think is a more accurate reality while Klein has taken a far different one

100%. If he didnt hear his cover if Hurt or Reznor’s saying “thats not my song anymore”, he should just be quiet about music.

Reznor is a bfd and to defer in that way to Cash, opened up a whole new audience.

Disagree. You could have gotten into him via American IV, (released in 2002) specifically Hurt, gone back through his library, and know of his greatness.

Both he and the Beastie Boys have songs about Shadrach, Mesach & Abednego.

It's easy to BS thru 11th grade science, but when you start talking conservative (physics) forces, field lines, and Gauss's law for gravity, or how long it actually takes light to travel through the universe, it really becomes nonsense

Part of this is because people dont get past 11th grade science

Gauss's law for gravity. I am 30 years since doing these integrals, but the flux of a gravitational field over any closed surface is proportional to the mass enclosed.

Where do they think it is? Do they think the universe is ~14B years old and just Earth was formed 6,000 years ago?

What are the astronomical implications of Andromeda being roughly 1/500th as far away as modern science shows?

This is like my asking a flat-Earther to draw gravitational field lines
