“Britain is a nation of neighbours, not strangers — and it’s time we built a politics of hope that reflects that.”

Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.

Mental health doesn't take a day off.

The Green Party is committed to ensuring mental health and physical health care are equally prioritised.

That means funding major improvements in mental health care - so that all of us can access the support we need, when we need it.

"A nation of neighbours".

A positive message from @zackpolanski.bsky.social, coming
from the streets of Handsworth.

Greens will always look for ways to bring people together and harness our common potential.

On #BBCQT - Fiona Bruce said that the audience and public didn't want to press Reform UK on their dodgy links to Russia.

I disagree.

RT if you agree it's in the public interest for Reform to explain about their links to Russian money and bribery!

I think it’s whether the visa holders were earning lower wages compared to the overall national average wage, or relative to the average wage for their occupation (a doctor earning £40k would earn more than the national average wage, but less than the national average wage of a doctor, for example).

Disappointing but not surprising by Labour. This has happened in a London borough where these policies would directly help so many people, where child and youth services have been cut for years and also where Thames Water has cut water to houses, not repaired leaks, routinely raised prices and more.

Tonight Lewisham Labour voted

❌ Against expanding childcare for families on lowest incomes
❌ Against scrapping the 2-child benefit cap
❌ Against Nationalising Thames Water

Yesterday, Newcastle stood united in solidarity against hatred and division.

The North East made a strong statement that the far-right doesn’t represent us.

Dear UKIP peeps we sent home with your tails between your legs from Newcastle today; here is how you do pride in your country with joy, diversity, inclusivity, passion, hard work and respect. Please take note. Congrats to the amazing Red Roses.

In the past, if you wanted to work illegally in the UK, you didn't need a passport, ID, National Insurance number, visa, or any other documents.

In the future, thanks to a new government initiative, if you want to work illegally in the UK all you won't need is a compulsory digital ID Britcard.

Quite apart from anything else - This is going to go down *so* badly in the devolved nations.

The "Brit Card", in Northern Ireland? Are you out of your mind?
danielsohege.bsky.social
The "Brit Card". Could they make it any more dogwhistly?
Also, fundamentally ignores that undocumented workers already, drum roll please, lack documents. Adding another one makes little difference, but does make it harder for people to escape exploitation.

Quite. So many Labour people on this website visibly have no idea of just how bad things have got for ethnic minorities since they came on, and how their visible indifference lands.

Also frankly I am quite desperate! A party that’s at best ambivalent on the question of whether I’m English and wants to deport my friends is 9 points ahead in the polls and the current leader is floundering and visibly out of his depth!
