I think it’s whether the visa holders were earning lower wages compared to the overall national average wage, or relative to the average wage for their occupation (a doctor earning £40k would earn more than the national average wage, but less than the national average wage of a doctor, for example).

Disappointing but not surprising by Labour. This has happened in a London borough where these policies would directly help so many people, where child and youth services have been cut for years and also where Thames Water has cut water to houses, not repaired leaks, routinely raised prices and more.

Yes, cos Hollywood has such a good track record of protecting women and girls. Clearly Watson is completely sheltered. If only she’d taken time out from acting to earn two degrees and be a UN ambassador, or given time and funds to help found organisations that protect women in her industry… oh wait.

In the past, if you wanted to work illegally in the UK, you didn't need a passport, ID, National Insurance number, visa, or any other documents.

In the future, thanks to a new government initiative, if you want to work illegally in the UK all you won't need is a compulsory digital ID Britcard.

Also, fundamentally ignores that undocumented workers already, drum roll please, lack documents. Adding another one makes little difference, but does make it harder for people to escape exploitation.
