Oh, absolutely. But ISTM there's not a huge difference between "let's slaughter lefty peaceniks" and "let's slaughter everyone we encounter". They planned, and documented their slaughter too. IMO that shows it was a deliberate choice: they were committing outrages for the propaganda value. 1/2
