There are many "difficult" women in Congress, but are her people loyal? Mikulski's people were loyal. I've told this story before, but in college one of my friends was working for her. When I repeated some unkind rumors about his boss, he gave me the business like I had said it about his mother.

We build in a bunch of checks for our YG surveys that our research director uses to exclude respondents on the back end. We also chat multiple times a week regardless of if we have active projects just to keep the relationship healthy. Vendor management is an underutilized tool in survey research.

Years ago I was teaching my gun history class and at the end of the quarter one of the students said that he was in the campus TPUSA chapter and they put him up to taking the class to spy on me but he felt bad about that because he loved the class and learned a lot and had a great time
