I've been going to Jim's since my dad took me there as a kid, so that will always be special to me, but trying a cheesesteak with Cooper convinced me this was the way.

When Xi raises Taiwan forcefully, Trump leaves it out of his readout.

1. Trump does NOT want Taiwan to define 🇺🇸–🇨🇳 relations.

He wants trade, deals, optics, and political wins.

2. He does not want to be boxed in by allies’ expectations.

Especially Japan’s new security posture under Takaichi.

As a small business owner, I would love to take advantage of this! My best guess is that it hasn't worked out in practice, for whatever reason. I've looked into it, and it doesn't seem like it's an option where I live. (It may also be that as a "mom and pop" LLC we are too small to qualify)

You want the government to negotiate with health insurance companies on premiums?

If you are just talking about Medicare for All, yes, people are aware of that possibility!

Here's an op-ed where he lays it out a bit more, with a link to a summary of his bill:

If this could really work, it would be an improvement. But I'm not sure how things would play out in the real world.
Rand Paul: Republicans shouldn't cave on Obamacare subsidies. I have another plan.
Imagine your Costco membership or Amazon Prime subscription giving you access to high-quality health care. That's my Health Marketplace for All Act.

I assume he has in mind that Costco etc. could negotiate better deals with health insurance companies, because they have more negotiating leverage than individuals. But do Costco etc. want to do this?
Rand Paul: "What is the Republican plan for healthcare? My plan would allow for people to buy their insurance through a collective. Basically to buy their insurance through Costco or Sam's Club or Amazon."

Just wait until they hear it paired with "dumping"!

I'm really not sure what EU officials have in mind on digital, but I think they could modify existing regulations in some of the ways US big tech is demanding while also promoting European tech competitors more than they have been. Not sure how that would go over with Trump administration.

Europe in dangerous territory. Putting democratic protections on the chopping blocks for trade concessions invites a slippery slope. Increasingly tariff negotiations cuts at the heart of European national security.

So the EU should impose high tariffs on products from the US?
