That's the writing.

The more you outsource it to the plagiarism engine the more you lose your hard-won ability.

SIMON: You imagine that?

SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

It's an incredible book. Took me a year and a half with breaks, but every part was just so good. Prose, research, framing, and that's before you get to what the book is telling you. A master work.

I love the Time Travelers series by Ian Mortimer. They perfectly hit that part of history that a writer really wants to know - not what happened, but what it was like to be live then. Highly recommended.
